Privacy Policy

1.1 Information you give us

None. There is no account, so we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, password or payment details. If you email us for support, we receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply.

1.2 Anonymous device identifier

When you open the App, it creates a random identifier (sent to our server as X-Device-Id). It is not linked to your name, phone number, advertising ID or any account. We use it to create your guest session, apply your free Prime membership, prevent abuse and limit excessive requests.

1.3 Session tokens and security keys

To keep our API protected, our server issues short-lived guest session tokens and a temporary encryption key for your session. These are stored on your device and are used only to authenticate and decrypt the App's own requests.

1.4 Technical and security logs

Like most servers, ours may record technical data when the App connects, such as your IP address, request time, app version, device model and Android version, and error information. We use this only to keep the service secure, stop abuse and fix problems. Logs are kept only as long as needed, up to 30 days.

1.5 Data stored only on your device

The App stores some data locally on your phone, such as a cache of the catalog (for about 2 hours), your watch history, bookmarks and playback position. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to us. Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App removes it.

MovieZila needs internet access and the ability to check network status. It does not request access to your storage, contacts, location, camera, microphone or phone number.

The App works with outside services. They have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

MovieZila does not include advertising SDKs, does not show ads, and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not build advertising profiles. If this changes in a future version, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only (a) with the service providers described above to make the App work, (b) if the law or a valid legal request requires it, or (c) to protect the security of the App, our users or others.

We protect the App and API with encrypted connections (HTTPS), short-lived session tokens, per-session encryption of API responses and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Local data on your device stays until you clear it or uninstall the App. Because MovieZila uses an anonymous device ID, uninstalling or clearing the App's data creates a new, unrelated ID next time. Server records tied to an old ID are deleted or expire as part of normal operation. To ask about data connected to your device, email us at codingyari@gmail.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Since we do not collect your name or contact details, we may need your device ID or other details to find any related record. MovieZila is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise what children watch. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

MovieZila does not host video or copyrighted media files on its servers. Videos, metadata and live TV streams are linked or indexed from publicly available APIs and media servers. Copyright owners can contact codingyari@gmail.com with any concerns.

Our servers and the third-party services above may be located in different countries from yours. By using the App, you understand that connection data may be processed in those countries.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
